It's hard to blame the hero of this 1980 Chevrolet Camaro commercial for being super un-cool. Not much was cool in 1979/1980. But the Camaro did sort of look cool, even if this guy did not.

Hormel meats weren't good, except that they were delicious. But sometimes ... there's just a line nobody should ever cross, not even Hormel. I have found that line.

Remember The California Raisins? Charming if more than a little creepy claymation figures pitching dried grapes with a Motown soundtrack? They were everywhere in the 80s - spawned a veritable cultural movement with toys, I think their own album, maybe a TV show … they were just everywhere.

So much hotness here. Never mind the clunky ad copy -“Jeep makes history again with the biggest sale in Jeep history” - the fine folks at American Motors had the goods in the early 80s. The CJ, the big Cherokee, the actual Wagoneer, the normal pickup and the Scrambler; these were real machines.
